Captivate Us by Watermark

Image
Your face is beautiful And Your eyes are like the stars Your gentle hands have healing There inside the scars Your loving arms they draw me near And Your smile it brings me peace Draw me closer oh my Lord Draw me closer Lord to Thee (chorus) Captivate us, Lord Jesus Set our eyes on You Devastate us with Your presence Falling down And rushing river, draw us nearer Holy fountain consume us with You Captivate us Lord Jesus, with You Your voice is powerful And Your words are radiant bright In Your breath and shadow I will come close and abide You whisper love and life divine And Your fellowship is free Draw me closer O my Lord Draw me closer Lord to Thee (chorus) Let everything be lost in the shadows Of the light of Your face Let every chain be broken from me As I'm bound in Your grace For Your yoke is easy, Your burden is light You're full of wisdom, power and might And every eye will see You (chorus)

Thoughts while flower-making??

Image
Sitting here are 1:30 in the morning, helping the wife do flowers for a wedding tomorrow. Just realising how tired I am after a long day after having to stay back from some after-hours work. In the midst of the tiredness, I just realise how satisfy it is to have done a full day's work. When God made Adam, he put him to work in the garden, which is an interesting thought since the garden was made perfect. I guess God knew that if Adam did nothing all day, he would be boring and would start to create mischief. Boring is one of the biggest destructive forces; it can suck the life out of you, cause you to think about things which are just plain stupid or send you into depression. I think God knew this when He ask Adam to work in the garden so there is productivity and satisfaction in what the garden produced. As the saying goes; the fruits are so much more sweet when you grow them yourself. If you are struggling through life; don't just sit there, get up and push through it. ch

Fragility of humanity

As we draw closer to the Satay Outreach night, I decided to fast and head out for a prayer walk during lunch time. As I was walking, thinking about the situations of the last couple of weeks and wondering why we have to go through so struggles each time we set out to do something for the LORD. Two songs popped out on my music player: Tear down the Wall by Hillsong United and " Tears of the Saints " by LeeLand, they brought me back to focus. As much as my heart wants to pursuing and run with God, the weakness of my humanity stops me from moving forward. The battle to master over my thoughts and emotions, the pride that propels to think it is about me. The small traps became big ones, the small offences turn into major hinderances and the desire to run with God suddenly fades into the distance. I come to the realisation of how fragile my humanity is and how undeserving I am to be love and called by God into His family. His grace steps into and picks me up at a place where

Power of Corporate Praying

It has been a rough and hectic several weeks leading up to the Satay Outreach night, our Young Adults Team are putting together. There are just so many little things that going on that draws our attention away from the main focus - touching the lives of our friends through the love of God and good news of Jesus. I am proud that the team still managed to stay united and focus on what is ahead of us. Last night, we thought "ok, enough of this little things trying to mess us up. It is time to get down to business, time to do some corporate praying!" We have been praying individually but together as a team, as one body focusing on one thing - to glorify God. It was a ripping night. There is something special when a group of God's people come together and believe for something together. It is more than just belief or positive mindset, rather it is the grace as God looks down and see His people united in one voice, pushing through and breaking down barriers. Where our motives
